These clubs did not go as far as stated they would. My taylormade burners go further and have a better feel than the rballz. (Posted on 20/11/12)Quality Price Value

Questions on TaylorMade Mens RocketBallz Irons
- From Will at 8/04/13 8:28 PM
- Why is there 10 degrees difference between P (45)' and the S (55') wedge its annoying because I have to have a different club in between these two.
50/52 degrees is my favourite for 70 to 80 metre approach is there a 50' RBZ wedge available how much more do I have to pay to have a complete set all the same?
ps. I do love these RBZ's this is the only thing that I'm peed off with
- Hi Will, Great question - One that we have pondered ourselves!
The strong lofted PW is by no means exclusive to TaylorMade: Cleveland's CG16 PW is 44deg & Callaway's Razr X HL PW is also 44deg - most modern PW's will be around 44-46deg.
It has come about from the strengthening of lofts on longer irons & from trying to maintain consistent distance gaps between most irons in a set when a lot of long irons (like the RBZ) have special technology (hot trampoline faces etc) which make them go longer. However as you pointed out, this creates a monster gap in your short game.
To some degree this has also come about because manufacturers are keen to sell more wedges!
Fear not, we can get you an AW in these to match your set. Are your's steel or graphite shaft? What flex? Are you right handed? (an important piece of information with golf clubs, that one!)
The RBZ AW is $105 in steel shaft or $120 in graphite shaft. If you want one, we will have to order it from TaylorMade & it will come over from Aussie, usually within 4 days.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
