TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company today announced that 2010 PGA Tour Player of the Year Jim Furyk, currently ranked No. 6 in the Official World Golf Rankings will play a TaylorMade driver, Penta TP golf ball and wear adidas Golf footwear in 2011.

A 16-time PGA Tour winner, Furyk is coming off a career year that included victories at the Transitions Championship, Verizon Heritage, and the season-ending TOUR Championship. Furyk's widespread success culminated with PGA Tour's ultimate prize when he captured the 2010 FedExCup Championship at East Lake last September.

The modern Burner driver, introduced in early 2007, is the best-selling driver in TaylorMade history. It introduced golfers to a groundbreaking development called SuperFast technology that allowed them to swing the club faster for greater distance.

TaylorMade Golf Tour Staff professional Robert Garrigus raced to a final-round 64 to erase a five-shot deficit and win the Children's Miracle Network Classic, safely securing his PGA Tour card for 2011 after starting the week at 122nd on the money list. Garrigus, the longest hitter on the PGA Tour - he averaged 315.5 yards this year - overpowered the course with his R9 SuperTri driver during a bogey-free final round. The last of his eight birdies Sunday came at the par-4 17th, giving him a three-shot cushion heading to the 72nd hole.

For the second consecutive year a member of the TaylorMade Tour Staff captured the year's most exciting major championship. Last year, Y.E. Yang outdueled the No. 1 player in the world to win the PGA Championship at Hazeltine. This year, Martin Kaymer sunk a clutch, 15-foot par-putt on the 72nd hole to qualify for a three-hole playoff, then went par-birdie-bogey to win by a shot. 

Kaymer's victory was the second in a major championship for the R9 SuperTri driver, following Paula Creamer's U.S. Women's Open win last month, and the first in a major championship for the Penta TP ball.

TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Justin Rose, a multiple winner on the European Tour, earned his breakthrough victory on the PGA Tour yesterday by capturing one of the most prestigious events on the schedule, The Memorial Tournament.

The victory was the first for TaylorMade's new Corza Ghost putter. Rose used it to rank No. 1 in putts per green-in-regulation (1.585) and No. 2 in putts per round (27).
