Callaway staff pro Alvaro Quiros became the first player to win with Callaway’s new RAZR Fit Driver on Sunday when he made an eagle on the 72nd hole of the Dubai World Championship. The long-hitting Spaniard saved his biggest theatrics for the grandest stage, draining a 60-foot birdie putt to win by two shots in the PGA European Tour’s final event of the season.

The 28-year-old won with a stellar tee-to-green effort that showcased his long-bombing ability and a trusty Odyssey putter. He finished 19-under-par for the tournament, carding rounds of 68, 64, 70 and 67. Alvaro, who was honored last week for being the longest driver on the European Tour for the 2011 season (during which he predominantly used Callaway’s RAZR Hawk Driver), switched to the new RAZR Fit Driver in early November at the WGC-HSBC Champions event, and the results have been impressive.

The RAZR Fit Driver is due to hit stores worldwide on February 17, 2012. But if you want one, you might want to line up the night before and bring your sleeping bag and some hot cocoa. (Just a suggestion. Take it or leave it. Not for me to tell you what to do.)

The clubs and apparel he used/wore:

In addition to the RAZR Fit Driver, here is the full compliment of Callaway equipment that Alvaro had in his bag: X Fairway Wood (17 degrees), RAZR X Muscle Back Irons (3-PW), X-Forged Wedges (52, 56 and 58 degrees), the Tour i(z) Golf Ball and the Odyssey ProType PT10 Putter.

He also dressed like a guy who expected to win. Alvaro wore Callaway apparel—including the Chev Mesh, Chev Polo and Pocket Polo, as well as a Callaway belt to keep his trousers up.

Distance King…again
In Dubai, his fourth tournament with the new driver, Alvaro led the field in driving distance by averaging 311 yards off the tee. One week earlier, he finished tied for seventh at the UBS Hong Kong Open while averaging an absurd 327 yards off the tee. Yep, he averaged 327. I’m sure you can all relate to that…when you play Golden Tee.

Augusta bound…again
With Sunday’s win, Alvaro jumped to No. 21 in the Official World Golf Rankings, securing a spot in the 2012 Masters. Proving that there is plenty more to his game than simply outdriving the competition, Alvaro hit 83 percent of greens in regulation this week using his RAZR X Muscle Back Irons and X-Forged Wedges. That was good for second best in the field. (And I said wedges because when you average 311 off the tee, you hit a lot of wedges into greens. I would imagine.)

Odyssey Putter clinches victory
Alvaro also used his Odyssey ProType PT10 Putter to average 1.681 putts per hole, which was sixth best, and rolled in the 60-foot eagle putt on the 72nd hole to put an exclamation point on the victory.

CARLSBAD, Calif., – With a two-shot victory at the Dubai World Championship on Sunday, Callaway Staff Professional Alvaro Quiros became the first player to win with Callaway’s new RAZR Fit Driver, due to hit stores worldwide on February 17, 2012. With an eagle on the final hole, the long-hitting Spaniard saved his most clutch effort for when it was needed most, securing his second title of 2011 and the sixth of his European Tour career.

The 28-year-old Quiros won the PGA European Tour’s final event of the season with a spectacular tee-to-green effort that showcased his prodigious length off the tee and a red-hot putter. He finished 19-under-par for the tournament, carding rounds of 68, 64, 70 and 67. Quiros, who was honored last week for being the longest driver on the European Tour for the 2011 season (during which he predominantly used Callaway’s RAZR Hawk Driver), switched to the new RAZR Fit Driver in early November at the WGC-HSBC Champions event, and the results have been impressive.

In Dubai, his fourth tournament with the new driver, Quiros led the field in driving distance by averaging 311 yards off the tee en route to victory. He also used his Odyssey ProType PT10 Putter to average 1.681 putts per hole, which was sixth best, and rolled in a 60-foot eagle putt on the 72nd hole to put an exclamation point on the victory.

“We have been working on my swing a little bit—for about two or three months—because I want to become a more consistent player,” Quiros said following his win. “For my entire career the driver has been the most important club in my bag. Now I’ve got the RAZR Fit and I am hitting this driver straighter and longer than my last one for sure. I hit the RAZR Fit once and I knew straight away it was going in the bag.”

The RAZR Fit Driver features Callaway’s renowned OptiFit adjustability system—designed for easy use and noticeable changes in trajectory for each of the settings. The system allows golfers to adjust the club’s face angle to three address positions: Open, Square and Closed. This adjustment is controlled within the “cog”, a rotatable element of the hosel that changes the angle of the shaft axis relative to the head. Rotating the cog enables golfers to choose a preferred look at address while also minimizing a slice or hook generated by the club’s delivery to the ball. In the driverhead, OptiFit weights (one weighing 12 grams and the other 2 grams) are featured in the sole's toe and heal positions. These are movable and can be exchanged to create a meaningful shift in the club's center of gravity and a perceivable draw or neutral ball flight.

The RAZR Fit Driver comes standard with a 45.5” Aldila RIP’d™ NV shaft and a premium Golf Pride New Decade Multi Compound grip. In addition to Quiros, RAZR Fit is also in the bags of Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Fredrik Jacobson and other tour professionals around the world.

Sydney Australia – – Cleveland® Golf/Srixon® congratulates staffer Keegan Bradley for his victory at the 2011 PGA Championship. Bradley, a PGA TOUR rookie, is the son of a PGA club professional and nephew of LPGA Hall of Famer Pat Bradley. Keegan Bradley, playing in his first major, earned the Wannamaker Trophy and his second PGA TOUR title Sunday with a stunning come-from-behind playoff performance at the Atlanta Athletic Club, in Johns Creek, GA. The 25-year-old Bradley, who trailed by five strokes with three holes to play, made two birdies in that stretch to finish in a two-way tie at 8-under 272, earning his way into a three-hole aggregate playoff. Bradley birdied the first hole of the playoff to take a one-stroke lead, and then made back-to-back pars on the next two holes to seal the victory.

“Ever since I was 10 years old, I’ve kind of flown under the radar,” said Bradley. “I had what I thought was a pretty good college career, but I never really got noticed. Same in junior golf and kind of the same out here. It’s cool to be thought of as one of those guys now. I’ve always wanted, growing up, to win tournaments and win majors.”

“This is another exciting win for Keegan, the Bradley family, and our family here at Cleveland Golf/Srixon,” said Todd Harman, President of Cleveland® Golf/Srixon® -U.S.A. “It’s not very often that we see a rookie win twice on the PGA Tour, but when that second win comes in his first major, it makes quite a statement about the player and the equipment he chooses to play.”

Bradley played a Cleveland® Launcher® Ultralite TL 310 driver (10.5°- Miyazaki™ Kusala Blue 61X), a Cleveland® Launcher® Ultralite FL fairway wood (14°- Miyazaki™ Kusala Black 83X), a Cleveland® Launcher® DST™ hybrid (18°), a Cleveland® Mashie™ TM3 (20.5°- Miyazaki™ C.
TaylorMade Golf Introduces R11 Irons

Earlier this year, TaylorMade Golf Company turned the golf world upside down with the introduction of the R11™ – the industry’s first white driver with never-seen-before adjustability features that injected an unmatched level of excitement in the industry. In just two short months, this innovative and revolutionary product garnered historic market share and quickly became the No. 1 played driver model on Tour. Today the company takes its next step in cementing the legacy of the R11 franchise with the introduction of R11, the iron.

Combining the distance and forgiveness found in the legendary Burner 2.0 along with the feel and precision of the Tour Preferred line, the R11 irons are engineered for the player who favours a traditional blade but appreciates the near effortless ease required to launch the ball high, straight and long. The R11 irons are truly a masterwork of beauty, technology and performance.

No other iron combines this kind of distance, this kind of forgiveness, is this easy to launch, and feels and sounds this soft and solid. And its appearance is extraordinarily beautiful, a gorgeous blend of smooth, classic lines and high-tech flourishes.

“If we were going to name an iron after the R11 driver, you can bet it was going to be worthy of its name,” said Sean Toulon, executive vice president of TaylorMade. “In fact, the pressure was on us to make this iron particularly special because our R11 metalwoods are the finest pieces of golf equipment the world has ever seen. I can assure you, there has never been an iron with this much technology that looks this good and fits so many players.”

Historically, irons engineered with multiple game-improvement technologies tend to be big, inelegant and clunky, with thick toplines, broad soles and busy-ugly cavities. They typically feel harsh and sound high-pitched and “clicky”. The R11 iron breaks that mold and rewrites the book about what a high-technology iron can look like, feel like and sound like.

Precision Weighting Port and Progressive CG location
The centrepiece of the R11 iron and the first thing that will grab the golfer’s attention is its striking red precision-weighting port (PWP), a technology initially introduced in the Tour Preferred line which allows TaylorMade engineers to guarantee precise swingweight and ensure centre-face Centre of Gravity (CG) location in every iron to promote optimised ball flight in the long-, middle- and short-irons.

Progressive CG location positions the CG low in the longer irons to make them easier to launch, and higher in the shorter irons. Wider soles in the longer irons pull the CG lower for easier, higher launch while also increasing MOI to make them more stable and forgiving.

Ultra-Thin Face Thickness and TaylorMade’s Renowned Inverted Cone Technology
The ultra thin face construction of the R11 irons promotes faster ball speed and distance in long and short irons. Additional forgiveness comes from our Inverted Cone Technology, which promote faster ball speed on off-centre hits. Ultra thin face – incredibly fast ball speed.

Multi Functional sole and Advanced Groove Design
Progressive shaping makes the longer irons larger and more forgiving, and the shorter irons more compact and workable. TaylorMade spent time working with Nick Faldo, to make sure each iron blends into the leading edge to preserve the beautiful lines of the iron. The R11’s sole is slightly thinner and the leading edge is a little sharper, helping it to enter and exit the turf quickly and smoothly. The R11 irons also incorporates an advanced, USGA and R&A conforming groove design to promote more increased spin and control from the rough.

Sound and Vibration Management System
TaylorMade’s R&D department worked hard to perfect an advanced sound and vibration management system to ensure the feel in the R11 irons would appeal to better players. Golfers will appreciate how the feel of the R11 irons will make the rock-hard balls sold by the bucket at a driving range feel and sound like a soft tour ball. The secret lies in the sophisticated cast design.

The R11 iron is unquestionably the most beautiful cavityback ever introduced by TaylorMade. The appearance at address is simple and traditional, with the topline melting seamlessly into the hosel. From behind, the sweeping lines that form the shape of the head, the cavity and what lies within the cavity work in absolute harmony to create a beautifully balanced composition that’s guaranteed to please the eye of any golfer.

“There has never been a game-improvement iron that looks this classically beautiful while incorporating this kind of serious performance technology, added Toulon. “The R11 iron is destined to assume a position among the pantheon of the best of the best TaylorMade products.”

Set Makeup, Pricing and Availability
The R11 irons are offered in four shaft flexes – S, R, M, L. Set make ups 3-AW+SW steel and graphite shafts. Ladies' flex shafts will be offered in the 5-iron through pitching wedge, attack wedge and sand wedge – graphite only. The standard R11 set includes eight irons offered at a RRP of NZD$1380 with steel shafts in the irons and NZD$1600 with graphite shafts in the irons. The steel offering will be the KBS 90, while the graphite offering will be the Motore 75 S, 65 R, 55M, 50L. Each iron is also equipped with Tour Velvet grips, a combination deemed optimal for promoting consistent and responsive performance. Availability begins at retail 1st September 2011.

TaylorMade Tour Staff Professional Darren Clarke captured the Open Championship Sunday, realizing a lifelong dream of hoisting the Claret Jug after delivering a virtuoso performance at Royal St. George's. Exceptional ballstriking and true grit fuelled Clarke's emotionally charged victory at the Open, his first major championship win in 54 attempts.

"it's been a dream since i've been a kid to win The Open, like any kid's dream is, and i'm able to do it, which just feels incredible, incredible right now," Clarke said.*

Playing the R11 driver, Tour Preferred MB irons and the Penta TP golf ball, the journeyman Clarke was well-suited to take on classic Open conditions. Three consecutive rounds in the 60s put Clarke in position to capitalize on a one-shot lead Sunday, a wild afternoon that hosted his gutsy final-round 70 - highlighted by a 20-foot eagle putt at the par-5 seventh. His 72-hole total of 275 was good for a three-shot win, his second this year and 21st career worldwide. Clarke previously won the iberdrola Open in May.

With the win, Clarke, 42, became the oldest Open Champion since 1967 and left little doubt about the celebration to ensue in his home country of Northern Ireland. Clarke also moved to No. 30 in the Official World Golf Rankings and now ranks sixth in the Race to Dubai.

TaylorMade drivers have been used in 32 victories worldwide in 2011 - more than any other brand. Clarke's victory marks the first major win for the revolutionary R11 driver and second for the Penta TP golf ball. TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Martin Kaymer won the 2010 PGA Championship playing Penta TP, the first and only five-layer Tour ball and the most complete ball in golf.

Pacific. New Zealand, (July, 2011) – In 2008, TaylorMade launched the Monza Spider, a uniquely designed high MOI putter that grabbed global attention for its radical shape, extraordinary stability and performance, and rapid tour success. In 2010, TaylorMade launched the Corza Ghost, the first in a series of putters whose white-coloured heads make it dramatically easier to aim the face accurately, while also eliminating the distraction of glare on the crown. Now TaylorMade is introducing the Ghost Spider, which combines the head construction, size and high MOI of the Monza Spider with the white alignment benefits of the Corza Ghost.

Like the original Corza Ghost and the entire TaylorMade Ghost series family, the Ghost Spider was developed with input from the hottest putting instructor in the game, TaylorMade Tour Staff professional Dave Stockton. "Dave convinced us that the concept of a white-headed putter was a good one, and he was absolutely right," said Sean Toulon, executive vice president of TaylorMade. "Dozens of tour pros are using TaylorMade Ghost putters, including last year's Vardon Trophy winner on the PGA Tour.

Ghost Spider prototypes were created at the request of numerous tour professionals and have been put in play on the PGA, Champions and European tours. TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Jason Day used a Ghost Spider prototype in his T2 finish at this year’s Masters and U.S. Open, resulting in widespread consumer inquiries.

"Fans of the Monza Spider, of which there are many, will be blown away by the Ghost Spider," said Stockton. "We've never made a putter that combines this kind of forgiveness and ease of use. Putting is all about confidence, and the Ghost Spider promotes confidence, big time."

Benefits of White Alignment
The study of thousands of putting strokes using our proprietary MAT-T (Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade) System revealed that 65% of golfers fail to square the putterface to the target from 12 feet, leading to inaccurate putts and higher scores.* The Ghost Spider's white head contrasts sharply with the turf to make it dramatically easier to determine where the face is aimed. The Ghost Spider also incorporates the Monza Spider's acclaimed "basketball court" system of alignment on the crown to further facilitate proper alignment.

In addition, the Ghost Spider's white finish eliminates the distractions of glare and "hot spots" caused by reflected sunlight, making it easier for the player to focus his or her full attention on aiming the putter accurately and executing a sound stroke.

High MOI for Stability; Movable Weight Technology for Customization
Like the Monza Spider, the Ghost Spider incorporates the same innovative, steel wire-frame construction that concentrates most of the weight in the perimeter, which creates the high MOI that makes the putterhead so highly resistant to twisting on off-center hits. The Ghost Spider also shares the Monza Spider's Movable Weight Technology™ (MWT®), which allows the user to customize the feel by changing the weights to make the head heavier or lighter.

PURE ROLL Surlyn Insert
The Ghost Spider is equipped with TaylorMade's patented PURE ROLL insert, which promotes forwardspin to help reduce skidding to encourage a smooth, accurate roll and precise speed control. The PURE ROLL insert's soft Surlyn construction delivers a satisfyingly soft sound and feel at impact.

Availability and Pricing
The TaylorMade Ghost Spider is offered in single-bend and center-shafted models in 34" and 35" lengths, left- and right-handed, at a MRRP of NZD$300. A mid-length "belly" version is available in 41" and 43" stock lengths at a MRRP of NZD$350. Available instores from July 15th, 2011.

*65% claim is based on player data from TaylorMade's MATT System

TaylorMade Golf Company recently launched a new ad campaign featuring the Penta TP golf ball and 2010 PGA Tour Player of the Year, Jim Furyk, in an effort to showcase the captivating anecdote behind Furyk’s off-season switch to the first and only five-layer Tour ball.

Furyk, the reigning FedEx Cup Champion and the 13th-ranked player in the world, takes center stage as the unscripted storyteller in a new television advertisement for the Penta TP, which he says genuinely outperformed other golf balls during extensive testing last fall.

“The reason I switched is I hit it longer and higher with my long clubs and, around the greens, I got better,” Furyk says in the new tvc spot.

Click to Watch : Why I switched to Penta TP Video

Furyk is the latest among the world’s elite professionals that have switched to Penta TP for its unparalleled performance. He will be highlighted in ongoing media executions for Penta TP that also feature TaylorMade-adidas Tour Staff professionals Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose and Martin Kaymer, the No. 1 player in the world.

“SEE WHAT 5 LAYERS CAN DO FOR YOU” — the tagline of the campaign— challenges consumers to compare the Penta TP, the most complete ball in golf, to their current preferred ball and see what 5 layers can do for performance.

Additionally, TaylorMade once again had a significant presence in Golf Digest's annual Golf Ball Hot List — taking home three medals including two gold.

- The Penta TP received a gold medal and was crowned the category winner in "feel."

- The TaylorMade Burner® Tour, a two-piece design engineered for superior greenside feel received high marks for performance, innovation and feel and as a result came away with a gold medal.

- Meanwhile, testers raved about the raw distance they achieved with the Burner golf ball which earned a silver medal.

This year's Golf Ball Hot List will be available in the local edition of the Australia Golf Digest June edition.

Australia's Karrie Webb won her second title in three LPGA events this season, firing a six-under par 66 on Sunday to take the inaugural LPGA Founders Cup by one stroke.Webb appeared destined for a playoff with Brittany Lincicome, but the American took only her second bogey of the 54-hole event at the 18th hole to give the Aussie veteran her 37th career LPGA title on 12-under par 204.

Webb, a seven-time major champion, won the HSBC Women's Championship last month in Singapore but was six strokes off the pace when the final round began in Phoenix.Victory in the $US1 million event brought no prize money for the 36-year-old LPGA Hall of Famer, with all prize money going to charity. Half the money went to LPGA youth programs while top-10 finishers directed donations of the rest. Webb donated $US100,000 to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation to combat paralysis and in a surprise move announced after the victory she'd donate $US100,000 to charities working on the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief effort.

"The Japan people have done a lot for me, Japanese companies as well, and I feel like I need to give back to them," Webb said. The Cup paid tribute to the 13 founding LPGA players, three of whom greeted players as the exited the 18th green on Sunday."I'm really honoured to win the inaugural Founders Cup," Webb said. "It's a great concept and we need to honour these ladies more than we do. The reason we're playing today is because of them. It means a lot to me to be champion."

According to sales data from UK retailers collected by Golf Datatech, a private US polling firm, Srixon golf balls had the largest retail market share (33.4%) by sales volume in the UK in January 2011.

The Srixon New Z-Star series, the ball used by Miguel Angel Jimenez and many other pros on the European Tour, made its UK debut in February of this year. Its introduction is expected to further boost Srixon’s market share in the future.

Second Consecutive PGA Tour Win for R11™ Driver as Sabbatini Wins Honda Classic

Sabbatini Also Plays New Tour Preferred® MC Irons, TaylorMade Ghost TM-770 Tour Putter and Penta TP Ball

TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Rory Sabbatini won the Honda Classic playing the new white R11 driver with Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) technology. It was the second week in a row the R11 was used to win on the PGA Tour; it was also gamed by the winner of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

Sabbatini’s win was sparked by multiple equipment changes early in 2011, most notably the switch this week to a TaylorMade Ghost TM-770 Tour putter. He put the new Ghost in his bag for the first time at the Honda and dominated the greens, ranking T2 in the field in putts per round (27.0). A 16-foot birdie putt on the par-4 16th hole enabled Sabbatini to hang on for a one-shot victory on a blustery day at PGA National.

Sabbatini also played the new Tour Preferred MC forged irons, a Burner® SuperFast 2.0 TP 3-wood and the Penta TP golf ball.

The victory, Sabbatini’s sixth on the PGA Tour, increases TaylorMade's worldwide driver win total to eight this year – more than any other brand.

SkyGolf Debuts SkyCaddie® PinPoint - First-Ever GPS Rangefinder to Offer Precise Distance to the Flag

RIDGELAND, Miss., SkyGolf, pioneer of the GPS rangefinder category and developer of SkyCaddie®, the #1 Rangefinder in Golf, today established a new standard for the category by debuting SkyCaddie® PinPoint technology, the latest innovation for the Company's revolutionary SGX; making it the first-ever GPS rangefinder to offer precise distance to the flag, from all angles of approach, without requiring a line of sight.

The development of SkyCaddie PinPoint establishes SGX as the most complete "hybrid" solution, without having to aim or carry a bulky laser that requires a line of sight and aiming before every shot, which hinders pace of play. With just a couple minutes invested before play, SkyCaddie PinPoint allows golfers to add a PinSheet to SkyGolf's patented IntelliGreen to obtain instant distance to the flag from any angle of approach on the course, whether they can see the flag or not. Plus, with IntelliGreen Pro golfers get a precise eagle's eye view of the flag location relative to edges of the green, bunkers, major slopes, false fronts and the green depth, including front carry, back, and distance to any other point on the green. All of this information is available automatically and on one screen.

For the past decade, the golf industry has debated the benefits of lasers vs. GPS. SkyCaddie has been the leader in this new growth category, with hundreds of thousands of golfers enjoying the quality, ease of use and depth of its course management information. The debut of PinPoint once again establishes a new industry standard, as this technology eliminates the need for line of sight to the flag, providing precise distances to all targets, which is not possible with a laser.

"To our knowledge, not a single player on Tour uses either a laser or a GPS rangefinder in competition. However, 100% of players on Tour and their caddies trust and depend upon their yardage books because it provides all the information they need and they know it has been checked and verified," said Richard Edmonson, CEO, SkyGolf. "SkyCaddie includes this same verified and trusted information and is clearly closer to the 'real thing' than any other rangefinder. Compared to the many limitations of a laser, the SkyCaddie provides so much more information, more easily and in less time."

Edmonson adds, "Some laser providers offer GPS devices in an attempt to overcome the clear disadvantages of laser technology, and now there is a Hybrid laser with some basic GPS added to it. A hybrid GPS/laser device can be more of a distraction to golfers, adding guesswork to their round, as they are unsure which distance to trust. It raises the question of whether the golfer should look through the lens of the laser and aim it, or turn it around and look at his GPS screen. If golfers have to choose which option to trust, it can have a negative impact on pace of play. We've come up with a better solution that provides golfers with all relevant distances on the course, including the distance to the pin, and for much less money. With SkyCaddie, PinPoint, golfers get all the benefits of a 'laser/GPS hybrid'... within the industry's best of class GPS!"

SkyCaddie PinPoint technology is the latest innovation enabled for SkyCaddie SGX and comes on the heels of the recently introduced AutoView application, a free upgrade for SkyCaddie users. Utilizing "buttonfree" and "touchfree" technology, AutoView enables golfers to change between their most popular screens, including HoleVue™, IntelliGreen® and their Scorecard, with just a simple turn of the wrist from portrait to landscape positions. Currently, the default view -- in a portrait position -- showcases SkyCaddie's "Best-of-Class" HoleVue™ in brilliant colors and precise detail.

With a simple turn to the right, golfers are quickly treated to a clear landscape view of SkyCaddie's patented IntelliGreen® with invaluable approach shot information in large clear numbers. A turn back to portrait position and the golfer is back to the HoleVue™ layout. If a golfer wants to enter or check a score, a simple turn to the left and their complete Scorecard is featured on the screen in landscape view. After entering the score, a simple turn back to portrait position and the HoleVue™ screen returns. Integrating AutoView with SkyCaddie's breadth of standard and innovative features (AutoCourse select, AutoHole advance, AutoZoom in HoleVue™ mode, and IntelliGreen® with auto green rotation to align with your approach position), enable SkyCaddie users to operate the device from the first tee to the 18th green with virtually no button pushes.

"The addition of SkyCaddie PinPoint Technology and the AutoView application further supports why the SGX is clearly the easiest, most powerful rangefinder in the game," said Edmonson. "This new application, combined with the most complete and most reliable course maps in golf, further establishes SkyCaddie as the closest thing to having a Professional Tour Caddie. Nothing else comes close!"

SkyGolf is dedicated to providing amateur golfers with the same trusted, reliable distance information Tour Caddies depend on to help their Pro win tournaments. As a benefit to Membership, SkyCaddie Members get access to the TrueGround maps created by walking every course using survey grade equipment. As a result of SkyGolf's mapping methodology, only SkyCaddie can provide invaluable approach shot information through advanced course management features like its patented IntelliGreen® and IntelliGreen® Pro. By ground-mapping every course, only SkyGolf is able to rectify and correct errors and distortions that are common to aerial imagery and flyovers used in competitive devices. Owners of competitive rangefinders are quickly learning there is no way to verify the accuracy of a golf course image using satellite or aerial imagery - a location must be visited and every hole must be walked using sub-meter, survey grade GPS equipment. As a result, SkyCaddie is the only rangefinder that calculates distances solely from professionally surveyed and verified points on the golf course via its exclusive HoleVue™.

CARLSBAD, Calif. – TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company announced 2011 plans with PGA Tour player and international icon Camilo Villegas. Currently ranked No. 37 in the Official World Golf Ranking, Villegas will play TaylorMade clubs and the Penta TP golf ball, wear the Burner logo on the front of his headwear, use a TaylorMade staff bag and wear adidas Golf footwear.

A three-time PGA Tour winner, Villegas will be TaylorMade's leading brand ambassador for the Burner product line and as such, play Burner equipment including the Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP driver and appear in Burner print and television advertising that will begin airing in March. TaylorMade’s latest brand campaign, which touts the "Burner Brotherhood of Speed," via fast-action cuts of the muscular Villegas recruiting golfers around the globe to join the Burner Brotherhood for its unparalleled speed, distance and performance benefits.

"I am thrilled to join the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff and look forward to representing a very unique and exciting Burner brand," Villegas said. "The brand’s core values — speed, power and distance — are a perfect match for my personality and most importantly, I believe in the products. I can’t wait to play the new equipment on Tour in 2011."

Click above to watch video

The 28-year-old Colombian is coming off another successful PGA Tour campaign that included his third career victory, at the Honda Classic. Villegas also qualified for The Tour Championship after finishing 20th in the FedExCup standings. For the season, he earned more than $3 million and finished 16th on the money list.

Villegas' charisma and aggressive style of play made him an instant sensation when he joined the PGA Tour in 2006. He is well known to golf fans for his efficient swing and seemingly effortless power, as well as the signature "Spiderman crouch" he assumes when reading putts, which prompted fans from his home town to nickname him "Hombre Arana." His popularity has also attracted plenty of attention off the golf course, where he has been featured in GQ Magazine and named one of People Magazine's "hottest bachelors" in 2006.

"We sought Camilo as our first and only choice to become the new face of our legendary Burner product line," said Bob Maggiore, vice president of global brand and product marketing. "We wanted a player whose lifestyle aligned with our fast, furious Burner product messaging and possessed the charisma to capture a global audience. Camilo brings both of those qualities to TaylorMade and his passion and enthusiasm for the brand is arresting."

Villegas is one of the latest players to switch into the Penta TP golf ball, the first and only five-layer Tour ball, which was used in 18 worldwide victories last year including the 2010 PGA Championship. Born January 7, 1982, Villegas will play a No. 7 Penta TP to honor his birthday.

"Camilo is one of the most exciting and recognizable young players in the world, and his aggressive and athletic style make him a natural fit for TaylorMade-adidas Golf and the Burner brand," said Chuck Presto, senior vice president of global sports marketing. "He has proven year-in and year-out that he’s capable of competing and winning at the game’s highest level, and we couldn’t imagine adding a better ambassador to our Tour Staff."

Villegas will debut his new TaylorMade equipment during the 2011 PGA Tour season opener, the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, this week in Maui, Hawaii.

In addition to Villegas, TaylorMade Golf has expanded its Tour Staff with the addition of Ricky Barnes, Chad Collins, Kevin Streelman, and Chris Stroud.

CARLSBAD, Calif. – TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company today announced that 2010 PGA Tour Player of the Year Jim Furyk, currently ranked No. 6 in the Official World Golf Rankings will play a TaylorMade driver, Penta TP golf ball and wear adidas Golf footwear in 2011.

A 16-time PGA Tour winner, Furyk is coming off a career year that included victories at the Transitions Championship, Verizon Heritage, and the season-ending TOUR Championship. Furyk's widespread success culminated with PGA Tour's ultimate prize when he captured the 2010 FedExCup Championship at East Lake last September.

"I'm thrilled to be joining TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff," said Furyk. "From the innovation they continue to bring to golf equipment to the passion and expertise of their tour reps, it's no secret that TaylorMade-adidas Golf is committed to helping their players improve."

Furyk has worn adidas Golf footwear since 2006, however, he'll be playing the TaylorMade Penta TP for the first time starting today at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. The first and only five-layer Tour ball, Penta TP was used in 18 worldwide victories last year including the 2010 PGA Championship. He will also be playing a TaylorMade driver. "In all the years that I have been working with Tour players, Jim is one of the most technical guys I have ever encountered," said Dean Snell, TaylorMade's senior director of research and development for golf ball. "He quickly grasped the concept and benefits of Penta TP's five-layer construction. In his testing, he found that his long-irons stayed in the air longer to give him increased carry and distance, as opposed to 'falling out of the sky' too soon. He also found that he could fully control and manipulate the spin on his wedge shots inside 100 yards, which he feels will help him win in 2011."

TaylorMade Introduces R11™ and R11 TP Drivers

Seven years ago, TaylorMade Golf introduced Movable Weight Technology™ (MWT®) with the revolutionary r7® quad, which gave golfers the ability to move weight to promote changes in trajectory for greater distance and accuracy. Again, in 2009, the R9™ driver transformed the metalwood category with the introduction of Flight Control Technology (FCT), providing golfers the ability to change the orientation of the driver head with the shaft. Last year, TaylorMade introduced the R9 SuperTri driver, which incorporated two major driver technologies — FCT and MWT — in a 460cc clubhead.

Now TaylorMade is proud to introduce the R11 driver — the next revolution in golf club adjustability. "By incorporating our new Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) Technology, along with our proven Flight Control Technology and Movable Weight Technology, into a single clubhead, the R11 gives golfers the ability to adjust their driver to fit their individual needs with even greater precision," said Dr. Benoit Vincent, TaylorMade's chief technology officer.

The Introduction of Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) Technology
When you change the clubhead's loft using FCT, you're also forced to change the face angle – increase loft and the face angle closes; decrease loft and the face angle opens. Adjustable Sole Plate solves that problem by allowing you to adjust the face angle independently of the loft, which is controlled by FCT.

The ASP sole plate provides ±2° of face angle change (neutral/square, 2° open, 2° closed). You can create three lofts with the same face angle, or you can further accentuate a face angle or counter a negative face angle. Plus, the combination of ASP and FCT effectively doubles the range of face angle for the club for ±2° to ±4°.

Three Dimensions to Distance (3-D): Combining ASP, FCT, and MWT
Altogether, the combination of ASP, FCT and MWT gives golfers 48 ways to set up the clubhead to promotes up to 100 yards of side-to-side trajectory adjustment, the most of any driver in existence. Combining full FCT and MWT settings promotes a launch-condition range of 2° launch angle and 1,000 RPM.

The FCT system is extremely sleek and streamlined, resulting in less mass and a lower clubhead CG location compared to hosel adjustability systems in competitive drivers.

The R11 includes two weight cartridges weighing 10-grams and 1-gram. To create a neutral bias, install the heavy (10-gram) weight in the toe, for a draw bias, put the heavy weight in the heel. If a more neutral setting is desired, 4 and 6-gram weights are available separately.

Players who prefer a specific face angle setting can bias the weights to adjust trajectory independent of the ASP setting. For instance, a player may prefer an open face angle at address while also desiring a draw-bias performance. With the R11 driver, the player can open the face using ASP and put the heavy weight in the heel, resulting in an open face but a draw-bias weighting.

Understanding 3-D: Three Simple Steps to Fitting an R11 Driver
Metalwoods with TaylorMade’s ASP, FCT and MWT will revolutionize the clubfitting process and promote superior performance. Properly fitting an R11 driver takes three simple steps:

1. (FCT)
Select desired loft by setting the FCT, choosing either Neutral, 1º higher loft, or 1º lower loft (or one of the intermediate positions ±0.5º). When you change the loft, the face angle will be modified. A higher loft equates creates a closed face angle, while a lower loft creates an open face angle.

2. (ASP)
Rest the club in the address position and decide if you want to change the face angle. If the club looks too closed, adjust the ASP to square or open the face. If the club looks too open, adjust the ASP square or close the face. If the face angle look just right, no need to adjust the ASP.

3 (MWT)
Adjust the weights as necessary to achieve the desired trajectory bias. The ball directional tendency goes towards the side that the heavy weight is placed. For example, move the 10-gram to the heel side to create more draw bias. Modern-Classical Clubhead Shape with White Crown, Black PVD Clubface for Optimum Contrast for Alignment The R11 driver is designed with a new, modern-classical clubhead shape intended to suit the eye of better players, while still providing forgiveness and confidence for average players. The shape is more contemporary appearance than traditional drivers, and slightly triangular to create a modern yet classical address silhouette. The triangular shape creates more inertia and a deeper back CG position for greater stability and forgiveness.

At 440cc, the R11 appears slightly (2%) larger due to its white crown color. Most golfers recognize address size relative to the size of the ball as a key confidence builder.

The white crown color and black PVD face provides optimum contrast against the ground to make the R11 easier to aim. This advantage is even more pronounced in lower light, such as when the tee box is in shade or shadow, on overcast days or when the sun is low in the morning and in the evening. The crown color also eliminates high-intensity "hot spots" caused by reflected sunlight that afflicts gloss-finish metalwoods.

Extensive Tour Feedback Influences Design, Shaft Properties
The R11 was designed with significant feedback from tour players and the unification of three major driver technologies, including ASP, has been extremely well-received; we expect it to be the No. 1 model very quickly after introduction on the PGA Tour. And, like all TaylorMade drivers, it features Inverted Cone Technology for higher ball speed on off-center hits.

The R11 measures 45.75" and is equipped standard with a Fujikura Blur 60-gram shaft, which features a medium-firm tip profile. The Fujikura Blur features a large weave material in the outer diameters of the layup to provide more stability at impact. As a result, this shaft specification delivers more distance and control without the harsh feel associated with some firmer-tip shafts.

Availability and Pricing
Two versions of the driver — R11 and R11 TP — are to be offered to suit a wide range of players. The R11 driver is available in two lofts right-handed – 9°, 10.5° – and two lofts left-handed – 9.5° and 10.5°. The standard R11 comes in four shaft flexes – X, S, R, M. In addition to the Fujikura Blur TP, the R11 TP comes with the option of 19 additional shaft choices

Availability begins February 2010 at a manufacturers recommended retail price of NZD$TBA for the R11 and NZD$TBA for the R11 TP.

TaylorMade Introduces Burner® SuperFast 2.0 and Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP Drivers

CARLSBAD, Calif. — The modern Burner driver, introduced in early 2007, is the best-selling driver in TaylorMade history. It introduced golfers to a groundbreaking development called SuperFast technology that allowed them to swing the club faster for greater distance.

Last year, SuperFast technology was improved to make the Burner SuperFast driver lighter, longer, and faster than any previous generation Burner. It delivered on its promise of improved aerodynamics and massive distance and, by the end of 2010, achieved remarkable success on Tour and in the marketplace. More than 50 professionals put the Burner SuperFast in play on the PGA Tour alone and the driver was used in 14 victories worldwide, most notably the FedEx Cup TOUR Championship.

Now TaylorMade is pleased to introduce the next-generation Burner SuperFast 2.0 and Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP, which combine SuperFast technology with an ultra-large face size and low-drag aerodynamics to promote faster swing speed, a higher launch angle and lower spin-rate, equaling a dramatic boost in distance. The two best distance-producing technologies in years are combined in this high-MOI driver, helping to make Burner SuperFast 2.0 five yards longer than the original Burner SuperFast.

The Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver is newly shaped to deliver the benefit of our Dual Crown Technology — designed to create a lower CG to promote a higher launch angle and lower spin-rate, the launch conditions that promote greater distance — but with a more conventional head shape. In addition, the Burner 2.0 incorporates SuperFast Technology, including a longer shaft, lighter weight and more usable face area.

Largest Clubface of Any TaylorMade Driver
The Burner SuperFast 2.0 drivers boasts one of the largest faces in golf at an expansive 4,550 square millimeters, and the deepest face/largest address footprint combination. The clubhead's Ultra-Thin Wall (UTW) construction combined with a more triangular address shape and profile shape allowed us to stretch the geometry to improve performance and playability. The larger face is important in light of the fact that the longer club-length makes it more challenging for the average player to make square contact consistently; the larger face provides more area with which to strike the ball.

The exceptionally deep face provides more area for impact above the center of the face, which promotes a higher launch angle and lower spin-rate, the launch conditions that promote long distance. To improve performance without sacrificing feel and playability, we carefully recalibrated the shaft and head mass properties to enhance playability and a moderate draw bias with a "measured square" face angle.

The high-MOI titanium clubhead also features TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology, milled directly into the back of a clubface. The Inverted Cone expands the area of the clubface that delivers high ball speed, meaning that you can miss the center of the clubface by a lot and still generate high ball speed and long distance.

White Crown, Black PVD Clubface Provide Optimum Contrast for Alignment
The Burner SuperFast 2.0's distinct white crown, when paired with its black PVD-finish clubface, provides optimum contrast for easier and more consistently accurate alignment. The crown color also eliminates high-intensity "hot spots" caused by reflected sunlight that afflicts gloss-finish metalwoods. This is very important, since golfers tend to be longer with these clubs, and if the face is poorly aligned at impact, then the shot can be directed farther off-line for an equivalent impact misalignment.

Additionally, a white metalwood head looks 2% larger compared to the same-sized black head because the white border bleeds into the darker sides. This promote more confidence and a fast, free swing.

Burner SuperFast 2.0: Our Lightest Driver Ever
A vital upgrade to the Burner SuperFast is the new Winn Lite grip that weighs just 25 grams, yet it sacrifices nothing in terms of feel and traction. It's a critical component in making this club, at 279 grams, the lightest driver we've ever produced. The driver measures 46.5", a length that, in concert with the lighter grip and improved aerodynamics, promotes five more yards than the Burner SuperFast.

Also critical to the Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver's performance is its Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8 shaft, which is both ultra-light and tip-soft, helping the golfer generate more ball speed, a higher launch angle and more spin to promote more distance.

Click above to watch Tour introduction of Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver

Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP: Legendary Distance, Neutral Bias for the Discerning Player The Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP differs from the standard model in a four key ways: 1) a more compact address footprint, 2) a single weight port on the toe (the weight is non-movable), 3) a slightly open clubface angle, 4) a standard 65-gram Matrix Ozik HD 6 shaft and 43-gram Tour Velvet Light grip.

The TP's aerodynamic clubhead shape promotes faster swing speed for increased distance, while the open face and weight in the toe enables the driver to be swing-weighted differently than the Burner SuperFast 2.0 to promote a neutral bias.

Availability and Pricing
Two versions of the driver — Burner SuperFast 2.0 and Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP — are to be offered to suit a wider range of players, including availability in a ladies version in its own color palette. The Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver is available in three lofts – 9.5°, 10.5°, HT (12.5°) – and four shaft flexes – L, M, R, S. The Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP is available in three lofts – 8.5°, 9.5°, 10.5° –and three shaft flexes – X, S, R.

Availability begins February 2010 at a manufacturers recommended retail price of NZD$TBA for the Burner SuperFast 2.0 and NZD$TBA for the Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP.

Eight-birdie final-round 64 helps the long-hitting Garrigus overcome a five-shot deficit and secure his Tour card for 2011

TaylorMade Golf Tour Staff professional Robert Garrigus raced to a final-round 64 to erase a five-shot deficit and win the Children's Miracle Network Classic, safely securing his PGA Tour card for 2011 after starting the week at 122nd on the money list. Garrigus, the longest hitter on the PGA Tour - he averaged 315.5 yards this year - overpowered the course with his R9 SuperTri driver during a bogey-free final round. The last of his eight birdies Sunday came at the par-4 17th, giving him a three-shot cushion heading to the 72nd hole.

Garrigus ranked first in driving distance for the week, averaging 316.9 yards, and ends the year ranked 51st on the money list. The victory marked the 13th win for TaylorMade drivers on the PGA Tour in 2010 and 51st worldwide, more than any other brand.

When the sun had finally set on the Pacific and the 110th U.S. Open at Pebble Beach was in the record books, Callaway Staff Professional Graeme McDowell was the only player among the world’s best not to finish over par. In doing so, he captured one of golf’s most coveted titles and continued Callaway’s clean sweep of the 2010 Majors.

In becoming the first European in 40 years to win the U.S. Open, McDowell stayed the course and watched those around him take Pebble’s best punches. The man from Northern Ireland picked up his first win on American soil by shooting 71-68-71-74 to finish at even-par and win by one stroke. It was the second major championship victory of the 2010 season for a Callaway Staff Professional after Phil Mickelson won the Masters in April.

McDowell used a bag of Callaway equipment on the Monterey Peninsula and rose to 13 in the World Golf Rankings. He plays the Callaway FT-3 Driver (9.5), a Tour 15-degree X Fairway Wood, X-Forged Irons (4-PW), X-Forged Vintage Wedges (52 and 58 degrees), the Tour ix Golf Ball and an Odyssey White Hot #7 Putter.

“I have so many people to thank; Callaway Golf and so many great sponsors,” McDowell said Sunday night. “I have a great team around me.”

McDowell was quick to highlight the performance of his Callaway driver in his rise to Major-Champion status. “I’ve never been the longest hitter in the world but I’ve certainly put on yardage in the last year,” he said after hitting 66 percent of fairways throughout the championship and averaging 303 yards off the tee.

He also used his Odyssey White Hot #7 Putter to average just 27.5 putts per round for the week on Pebble’s treacherous greens. He averaged 1.53 putts per green in regulation. “My putter was kind to me this week,” said McDowell. “I putted good this week, I felt good on the greens and when I had opportunities I generally took them. It helped me make a lot of birdies.”

Callaway’s dominance at the U.S. Open was not exclusive to the man who was left holding the trophy. Mickelson and fellow Callaway Staff Pro Ernie Els spent the better part of Sunday in hot pursuit of another major victory, only to come up just short.

In the end, Els finished the championship in third place at 2-over-par. Mickelson finished tied for fourth at 3-over. That means three of the top-five finishers used Callaway drivers, irons, wedges, golf balls and an Odyssey putter. Both Els and Mickelson use the FT Tour Driver, X Prototype Irons and Tour i Series Golf Balls.

Callaway Staff Pro Alex Cejka also turned in a great performance at Pebble Beach, finishing the tournament tied for eighth at 5-over-par.

TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Justin Rose, a multiple winner on the European Tour, earned his breakthrough victory on the PGA Tour yesterday by capturing one of the most prestigious events on the schedule, The Memorial Tournament.

The victory was the first for TaylorMade's new Corza Ghost putter. Rose used it to rank No. 1 in putts per green-in-regulation (1.585) and No. 2 in putts per round (27).

Rose's win marked the second time in three weeks the Burner SuperFast driver was used to win a PGA Tour event; the other victory was Jason Day two weeks ago at the HP Byron Nelson Classic. Rose was an early convert to the Burner SuperFast, switching to it because it delivered a significant boost in ball speed and distance.

Rose also played a TP wedge with xFT (54°) and Penta TP, the first and only five-layer tour ball.

Quotes:
"It's a bit of a pun, but I putted scary good with my new Ghost putter. I couldn't resist that one."

"I've got to be honest, putting is one part of my game where, you know, I've had some slight doubts. Today [Sunday] was fantastic because I felt like I putted my best under pressure. You know, once again, that's something that I can really take or now dispatch out of my mind and really take positives going forward."

"I was really trying to play one shot at a time, stay focused, not get ahead of myself…I knew that I was in the hunt all week, but I wasn't playing golf like I was in the hunt all week. I was just in the moment."

"The last tournament I won was the 2007 Volvo Masters, and I didn't win it in a fashion that I was actually terribly proud of. I was four or five ahead at one point and ended up winning in a playoff. You know, I won. It was great. But today gives me a lot more satisfaction to sort of win the way I did. I feel like I can take a lot more from this win going forward than my last one."

*** All quotes from ASAP sports’ transcripts of Roses’ post-round press conferences at The Memorial Tournament.

In the Bag:

Burner SuperFast 9.5° driver

R9 3-wood 13°

R9 4-wood 17°

R9 irons 3 - 9

TP wedge with xFT 54°

Rossa Corza Ghost putter

Penta TP ball, #99

adidas Golf ClimaCool 3-Stripes polo in Black/White

adidas Golf Formotion pants

adidas Golf eyewear

Notable:
-Rose hit lots of fairways and greens, ranking T10 in driving accuracy and T13 in greens-in-regulation. Combine that with his 1 in putts per GIR and 2 in putts per round and you've got a winner.

-Rose's Penta TP balls are each numbered 99 because 9 is his wife's favorite number, and his reasoning is that two 9s will bring him "double the luck."

SkyGolf Unveils SkyCaddie® SGX™ & Golf 2.0

ORLANDO, Fla., … SkyGolf, pioneer of the GPS rangefinder category and developer of SkyCaddie®, the #1 Rangefinder in Golf, today introduced a series of complementary game-changing technologies with the launch of its revolutionary SkyCaddie® SGX™, the next generation rangefinder; SGX SmartClub Technology, a break-through innovation adding intelligence and wireless connectivity to golf clubs; and Club SG, the portal to golf’s future.

Such technologies and break-through innovations provide a true foundation for growing the game, both on and off the course, by connecting golfers to their game, their PGA Professionals, their equipment, their courses and other golfers that are passionate about the sport of golf.

“Our mission is to help golfers play smarter, play better, play faster and have more fun. We believe that if golfers experience more rewards from the game, they will play more rounds, take more lessons, get properly fit for equipment, and share their passion with other golfers, both new and inactive, to help to grow the game,” said Richard Edmonson, CEO, SkyGolf. “The SkyCaddie SGX is not only the most advanced, reliable distance measuring device in golf, it is a platform that can extend the game beyond the 18th green. Moreover, it provides a foundation for improvement, while providing access to a passionate golfing community where players come together to enjoy the sport and celebrate achievements, which will motivate them and others to play more golf.”

The Next Generation Rangefinder
The SkyCaddie® SGX™, golf’s next generation rangefinder, boasts a durable, new sleek design with a large 3” easy-to-read, transflective LCD screen that provides brilliant color images even in the brightest sunlight. Powered by a long lasting rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, the SGX is ready for up to 14 hours of continuous play. The SGX uses an innovative, dual navigation option, to provide easy one-handed operation and precision positioning without blocking critical screen information with fat fingers and smudges. With its new, intuitive user interface, errors generated with large fingers and the difficulty of using gloves on touch screens are totally eliminated.

The SGX also includes SkyCaddie’s proprietary TruePoint Precision Positioning Technology in a high performance GPS engine with ultra-fast satellite acquisition for unmatched accuracy and reliability. The unmatched accuracy of the SGX is crucial to a golfer’s confidence, which is further enhanced by an omni-directional, high performance GPS antenna that locks quickly onto more satellites and stays locked to optimize performance and accuracy in all terrains, including under the foliage of trees. To trust their club, a golfer has to be able to trust their caddie, just like a Tour player. The SGX is built to be trusted.

For the ultimate in convenience and reliability, the SGX offers up to 30,000 pre-loaded, ground-verified maps making it “Ready to Play” out of the box with basic green information. Only SkyCaddie spends the time and money to ground-verify every single course map in its library to make sure its golfers have information they can trust. Not a single player on Tour uses yardage books in competition derived from satellite images or flyovers. SkyCaddie does not believe consumers should play with such unverified information either. SkyCaddie owners receive unlimited access to the most complete, most reliable and the only ground verified course maps in the game, offered in easy to understand annual membership plans, with no hidden fees or variable charges. Not only can the SGX store up to 30,000 preloaded courses with basic green information, its enhanced storage offers the capability to maintain up to 50 full-featured courses in the SGX at one time with the most advanced and reliable information in the game. Nothing else comes close.

Advanced Game Changing Features
The SGX also supports SkyCaddie’s growing database of courses offering Interactive HoleVue™ with Zoom capability. SkyCaddie is creating the first-of-its-kind, ground-corrected graphics library of courses maps in brilliant colors and detail. HoleVue enables the golfer to know the distance to any point on a hole, which helps them to plan the best strategy to play the hole in the fewest strokes. In fact, only SkyCaddie has invested the time and money in ground verification of all map data, to provide HoleVue graphics that can be trusted. This is further complemented by SkyCaddie’s patented HoleVue™ Zoom capability that provides the golfer with an up-close view of the target area to strategize his next shot.

The SGX is further separated from its competition through SkyCaddie’s patented IntelliGreen® technology that showcases the exact shape of the green by automatically rotating the green to match a golfer’s angle of approach. IntelliGreen provides all of the distances needed to hit more greens and avoid three putts. Additionally, the SGX offers IntelliGreen® Pro, providing golfers with the added ability to obtain distances to major green contours, false fronts and any other point on the green, plus front, carry and back distances from any angle of attack. Because such information cannot be derived from satellite imagery, it is available exclusively from SkyCaddie thanks to its proprietary ground mapping methodology.

Golfers also can use the SGX to learn how far they hit each club and create a personal club profile. Thereafter, each time a golfer checks his yardage, a new Club Ranging Meter displays where the distance fits within his range of clubs.

Lastly, SGX offers a convenient Digital Scorecard and Stat Tracking option to track key game statistics, including: greens in regulation, fairways hit, driving accuracy and distance, plus total putts. Golfers can auto sync their scores and stats to SkyGolf’s newly created and quickly evolving online community, Club SG, for comprehensive game tracking and analysis.

SGX Enabled With SmartClub™ Technology
What truly defines the SGX as the next generation rangefinder is its compatibility with SkyCaddie’s revolutionary SGX SmartClub Technology. Expected to be released later in 2010, SGX SmartClub Technology adds intelligence and a wireless communication link to each club in a golfer’s bag. Upon removal of a club from the golfer’s bag, SmartClub Tags located at the butt end cap of the grip establishes a direct communication link with the SkyCaddie.

This revolutionary connectivity adds new functionality and opens a huge portal to expand the game beyond the 18th green and to golf’s future. For example, SGX Club Reminder™ utilizes SmartClub technology to alert a golfer if a wedge or other club is left behind before the player advances to the next hole. SGX Game Tracker™ can also utilize the same technology to capture the club used, the geo-location and distances of each shot, while eliminating most of the effort and distraction of manual entry. Captured round data and personal performance data are synced to Club SG for unparalleled post-game analytics or sharing with friends, teachers and fitters.

Introducing Club SG Beta...
The final component in the Company’s portal to golf’s future is Club SG Beta, SkyGolf’s new online community located at www.skygolf.com. Club SG Beta connects golfers to their game, their courses, their equipment, their teachers and each other. In fact, new SGX owners can sync and store their game data in a personal performance locker and, in-turn, track key stats, learn about courses, find a teacher, learn if their equipment is helping or hurting their game and connect with other golfers. Launched in January 2010, Club SG Beta, a fast-evolving work in progress, is a growing community of passionate golfers eager to enjoy better experiences on and off the course, by motivating each other to improve, celebrate their successes, and attract new players to the game.

Edmonson adds, “Growing the game by helping golfers to play better and have more fun fuels the passion that keeps us innovating. This innovation is why we’re #1 in golf’s only growth category, and why we always have something game-changing on the horizon.”

Delivery & Pricing
SkyCaddie SGX will be available at most golf shops nationwide towards the end of April 2010. SmartClub Technology with SGX SmartClub Tags is expected to be available by June 2010. Suggested retail price for the SkyCaddie SGX is $699.95 NZD. Pricing for SmartClub Technology with SGX SmartClub Tags will be released at a later date.

About SkyGolf
SkyGolf, developer of SkyCaddie, the No. 1 rangefinder in golf, is committed to providing the same reliable information a professional caddie provides to PGA Tour professionals.
